What’s in the kit

Everything prints on ordinary US Letter paper from a normal office printer. Nothing needs special stock, special software, or a trip to a print shop.

1. “Thank You, Pastor” card — 5″×7″

The main one. A card with room to write, built around 1 Timothy 5:17 — “Let the elders who rule well be counted worthy of double honour.” Print, trim to the marks, write the thing you actually mean.

2. The same card, ink-light

Identical layout with no image, for churches printing forty of them on an office printer. More writing space, a fraction of the ink.

3. Signature sheet — 8″×10″

For the whole congregation. Seventeen lines for names and notes, built around Jeremiah 3:15 — “I will give you shepherds according to My heart.” Trim to the marks and it drops straight into a standard 8×10 frame, which makes it a gift on its own.

4. Thank-you notes — four per page

Small cards, four to a sheet, each with a different verse and a few lines. Print a handful of sheets and every person in the building can write one. Collect them in a box or a jar — this is the thing pastors keep in a drawer for twenty years.

5. Bookmarks — three per page

Pastors use bookmarks more than almost anyone. Three designs, one verse each, on card stock if you have it.

When is Pastor Appreciation Month?

It runs the whole of October. Clergy Appreciation Day is always the second Sunday, which in 2026 is Sunday 11 October. Plenty of churches treat the day as the focal point and the month as the runway — cards in week one, a shared meal in week two, the gift presented on the Sunday.

A word on what actually lands

Ask a pastor what they were given last October and most remember two things: something someone wrote, and something that is still on the wall. The rest was kind, and the rest is gone.

So whatever else you do — write the specific thing. Not “thank you for all you do.” Write the sermon that landed, the hospital visit, the week they showed up when they did not have to. That is why every printable in this kit has space to write on it. The card is just the container.

What printer settings do I need?

Print at 100% / Actual Size and turn OFF “fit to page” or “shrink to fit”. Every sheet has trim marks in the corners, and scaling will throw the sizes off. Plain paper is fine for the cards and the signature sheet; card stock is nicer for the bookmarks.

Do I need any special software?

No. They are ordinary PDFs — they open in any browser, on a phone or a laptop.
